It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anastasia Charmaine Cudjoe, affectionately known to family and friends as “Charm(s)” and “Charmpo.” Charmaine peacefully departed this life on May 30, 2026, in Canada at the age of 64.
Born and raised in St. Lucia on December 1, 1961, Charmaine carried the warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit of her Caribbean roots throughout her life. She built a successful career as a Payroll Analyst, dedicating over 30 years to her profession with diligence, integrity, and excellence.
Charmaine was a woman of grace, class, and unwavering independence. While proud of her
St. Lucian upbringing, she also embraced her Trinidadian heritage through her deep love of Soca music, Carnival culture, and playing Mas alongside her friends and siblings. She often reminisced about the many joyful “limes” she shared with loved ones and cherished the memories created throughout her life.
Family was at the center of everything Charmaine did. Raised in a close-knit family, she valued meaningful connections and took great pride in those she loved. Her humble nature, joyful spirit, radiant smile, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Charmaine leaves behind to mourn and cherish her memory her beloved daughter Annisha, her cherished grandchildren, Noah and Niko, and her one and only sister Claudia Cudjoe Edwin. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Wayne Cudjoe, Dennis Cudjoe and Tony Vigaro Cudjoe, her sister in Law Leera Cudjoe; her nieces and nephew, Andre Cudjoe, Darcelle Edwin, Kayla and Kristen Cudjoe, Melissa, Idriste and Jada Theodore, Chantal and Stephan Emard ; her aunts, Celia Cenac, Allison Joseph and Vera Cudjoe ; Uncle and Godfather Emmanual Theodore and her cousins, Jeanne and Shiva Joseph, Gisella, Dexter, and Dylke Theodore, Linfield Cudjoe, Mariyln Cudjoe and the Cudjoe Family in the US, Suzette Gibouya and family, Jacqui Emard and family, Cenac Family, Conrad and Neville Atille and Family, Duplesis Family, Val ford and family, Jenni Lay and Family, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Austin Denis Cudjoe and Agnes Frankelina Cudjoe, and her dear brother, James Cudjoe.
While our hearts grieve her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. She now rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord, surrounded by eternal love and everlasting peace.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of love, laughter, strength, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
