<div itemprop="description"> <p> <b> Foss, Allan Thompson </b> </p> <p> <b> &nbsp; </b> </p> <b> passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Sunnybrook Veteran's Centre in his 87th year.&nbsp; Son of the late Hannah Thompson of Belfast, Northern Ireland and Allen Foss of Moncton, New Brunswick.&nbsp; Beloved husband of the late Jean (nee Mewburn).&nbsp; Loving father of Gordon and his wife Saeeda and predeceased by his son David.&nbsp; Dear brother of Ruth, Elaine and predeceased by Kathleen, Lois and George.&nbsp; Dear brother-in-law of Mary, Emmy and predeceased by by Ruth, Howard and Jim.&nbsp; Uncle of Deanne, Stuart, Patti and Judy.&nbsp; Allan was a WWII Veteran serving in France, Belgium and Germany.&nbsp; Upon Allan's return from WWII Service over seas, he joined and served for 35 years as a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police, retiring in 1981 at the rank of Inspector.&nbsp; A special thank you to all of the staff at the Sunnybrook Veteran's Centre for their kindness and their compassionate care.&nbsp; Family and friends will be received at PINE HILLS CEMETERY &amp; VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Sunday, April 22nd from 5-8 p.m.&nbsp; A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, April 23rd at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.&nbsp; Interment to follow. </b> </div>
