In memory of
Allan A. Wood
July 24, 1948 - April 5, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan A. Wood on April 5, 2026 at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry.
Al will be forever missed by his wife of 58 years, Susan and their daughter Sandra (Tony).
He was a proud grandfather (Poppa) of Ashton (Jamie) and Tyler (Tavia).
Al is survived by his brother Greg (Louise). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Al grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario before moving to Oshawa in 1972.
He was a dedicated employee of Ontario Hydro (Ontario Power Generation) for 30 years.
After retiring Al rarely sat still, filling his days with golf, pickleball, fishing, riding his motorcycle and travelling.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Lakeridge Health Oshawa-Cancer Centre and Oak Ridges Hospice for their compassionate care shown to Al.
A private family service will be held to honor Al's life.
