Aliana had the personality of a giant.

She was generous with praise and kindness.
She was determined, confident and humble.
Her radiant presence and compassionate actions made those around her feel valued, respected and inspired.
She had a magnetic personality.

Born in Hong Kong to loving parents, Aliana was the eldest of 4 siblings. From the start, she was the leader and boss to John, Jim, and Mimi, her younger brothers and sister. She provided them with care and devotion.

She attended St. Paul’s Primary and Secondary School in Hong Kong, later graduated from University of Hawai’i with a major in Hospitality and Tourism. After bidding her ALOHA farewell, she led a distinguished career as a leader in the global tourism industry that spanned over 40 years, and across continents. She worked for the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Venetian Macau, and finally retired after working for Disney.

Having traveled the world for work, she retired to a happy place in Toronto to be with her family. She moved to the Dufferin Grove area, where her neighbours quickly became friends, and her community gave her joy. She discovered Aquafit at the local YMCA, frequented the local farmers market , and chatted the nights away with those around her. But most of all, she enjoyed living close to and spending time with her daughter Denise, son-in-law Ed, and her dearest grandson Malcolm.

Her time on earth was filled with friendships, adventure, joy, laughter, and good food.
She will be missed dearly.
