Alexandra "Sandra" Rozinskis was born in Kruševo, North Macedonia on February 5th, 1928. After spending most of her young life in Belgrade, Serbia she emigrated to Canada as a refugee after World War II. Alexandra settled in Toronto, Ontario in 1951 where she spent the remainder of her life.
In Toronto, Alexandra raised two children on her own while working for many years as a Lithographer. After 30 years of working, she enjoyed 35 years of retirement. She enjoyed travelling around the world with both family and friends during this time including back home to see her siblings in Croatia and Serbia. When not travelling, she loved hosting family and friends, cooking, knitting, needlepoint, reading, tending to her vast array of plants, and getting caught up with the latest drama in the TV soap opera The Young and The Restless.
Alexandra is predeceased by her parents, siblings and son Wally (survived by partner Donna). She is survived by her son Mike (Heather) and two grandsons Russell (Megan) and Ryan (Heather) as well as many close friends and family. Among all her wonderful qualities, it is perhaps her "never give-up spirit" that will be remembered most about her. She will be dearly missed and always loved. Rest in peace Baba.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Michael Garron Hospital.
