Alex Kenny passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy, and his children John (Julie), Tammy (Steve), David (Courtney), and Robert (Erica). Alex was a proud and devoted grandfather to his five grandsons, Nick, Nate, Charlie, Jaxson, and Gabriel, who brought him endless joy.

Born in St. Rose, New Brunswick, Alex was an East Coaster through and through – known for his warmth, generosity, and unmistakable kindness. He moved to Ontario in 1983 but never lost the easygoing spirit and friendliness that defined him. He truly would give you the shirt off his back and always saw the good in everyone he met.

Alex was a talented handyman and passionate car aficionado, always happiest when he was fixing something, tinkering in his shed, or lending a hand to someone in need. Playful and full of life, he kept his sense of humor and lightheartedness well into his later years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10th at 1:00 p.m. at The Simple Alternative – Pickering. Livestreaming of the prayer service will be available on the memorial page on Saturday, January 10th at 1:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hearth Place Cancer Centre in Alex’s memory.
