<div itemprop="description">On Friday, January 23, 2015 passed away peacefully in his 86th year. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty one years, Mary. Dad will be sadly missed by his son Michael, daughter Martha Sherratt and her husband John. Grampa will be lovingly remembered by his Grandchildren Cam and Katie Sherratt. He was born in North Bay and raised by his foster mother Laura McAra. Al served in the air cadets in North Bay where me made the acquaintance of Major Ray Hawkin, who, along with Phoebe Coleman provided a home for Al in Brantford where he subsequently graduated from the Brantford Collegiate. He went on to enjoy a successful business career in Brantford, Kitchener, Michigan, Germany, and Toronto. It is in Toronto where he and Mary retired close to their many long time friends. A celebration of Al&rsquo;s life will take place on Tuesday January 27th at Glenview Presbyterian Church, 1 Glenview Avenue, Toronto. A visitation will take place at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glenview Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.</div>
