Aileen Patricia Sinclair
May 8, 1926 - September 11, 2014
"Everyone brings joy to a room, some by entering, others by exiting."
Aileen Patricia Sinclair (nee Dogherty) brought joy to every room she entered. She exited this world September 11, 2014 leaving many to miss her keenly. Pre-deceased by her husband of 59 years, Selby James Sinclair, and her daughter, Jane Allison Bernard, she leaves behind three daughters, Ann Brzozowicz, Gail (Doug Plaxton) and Janet (Liz Mountain), two sons, Peter (Kathryn) and John (Paula), and 13 grandchildren. A celebration of her life will take place the evening of Friday, December 19th and a service on Saturday, December 20th at 11am at the Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre, in Toronto, Ontario, when all Australian members of her family are here for the holidays. A film of an Ice Bucket Challenge organized in her honour August 29th by the extraordinary staff at her residence, the Claremont, can be viewed on Youtube: "Aileen Sinclair's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge 2014". When she participated in it (Courtesy of a sou'wester), it could not have been imagined that she would no longer be with us in less than two weeks. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to the ALS Society of Canada would be most welcome.
