In memory of

Yuet Foo Chong

February 25, 1929 - March 24, 2026

Yuet Foo Chong
Monday, February 25,1929 - Tuesday, March 24, 2026

Our dad passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of his family, at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the age of 97.

He is reunited with his parents' Wing Kin (1986) and Lai Kin Ho (2004), his brother Yuet Hong (2021), sister-in-law Sook Hai (2011) and his beloved first born son who passed away in infancy (1951).

Our dad was the husband of Kam Chung Chong for over 75 years; oldest brother to Kenneth (Roslyn); proud father of Ming (Julie), Mabel (Stephen), Morgan (Frances) and Mary (James); dear grandfather of twelve to William (Marissa), Matthew (Lillie), Carolyn, Nicholas, Patrick, Liam, Aidan, David, Julia, Laura, Joshua and Sarah and great-grandfather of four to Dylan, Emilia, Luca and Aria.

Members of our family are forever thankful for the healthcare and administrative teams at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their professional and exemplary care of our father over the years.

Our dad will be remembered for being Forever ‘21’ - forever charming with a smirk that would win over complete strangers, sense of determination to take his next steps in life, astute and up-to-date with the latest in world news and today's technology, self-reliant, youthful and forever delighted in his beloved game of blackjack or ‘21’ at the Casino. Dad was a fighter and he fought the good fight, fiercely, until the end came quickly and quietly in his sleep.

A private family funeral and interment service will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centre.

In memory of and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Markham Stouffville Hospital through their website at HTTPS://www.mshf.on.ca would be greatly appreciated by the family.

We thank everyone for their kind thoughts and support during this difficult time.
