William “Bill” Hamilton Lee passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 25, 2026, at the age of 87.

Devoted father to Ruth (Stuart) and Alison (Greg). Proud Granda to Joshua (Hailey), Eric (Justina), and Jessica (Taylor), and Great Granda to Benjamin, Adalynn, Josephine, and a soon-to-be great-granddaughter. Loving brother to the late Davey (Isabel) and the late Ella (John), as well as Samuel (Ella), and John. Beloved son of the late Samuel Holly Lee and Helen Doyle Hamilton. He will be lovingly remembered by many extended family members, friends and all who knew him.

Born on April 10, 1938, in Shotts, Scotland, Bill was proud of his heritage and was known for his strong Scottish accent, warm humour, and the funny songs and sayings with which he greeted people. He was a dedicated fan of the Whitby Glasgow Rangers Football Club and loved cheering for his team.

Throughout his working life in both Scotland and Canada, Bill was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in a job well done. He dedicated many years to his career, where he was respected by colleagues for his commitment, integrity, and quick witt. His work was an important part of providing for his family, and he gained great satisfaction in the life he built.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, for a time of visitation from 10 – 11 a.m, followed by a service. A Celebration of Bill’s life will follow at 12 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
