Wilfrido "Willie" Santos Hernandez
August 9, 1950 – October 21, 2026
With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Wilfrido "Willie" Santos Hernandez, who was born on August 9, 1950, in Manila, Philippines, to Saclolo and Mercedes Hernandez.
Willie was a devoted father, grandfather, partner, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for those he loved, always putting the needs of his family before his own. His dedication, generosity, and unwavering commitment will be remembered by all who knew him.
Willie leaves behind his beloved daughters, Elaine Hernandez (Sean McBride) and Eliza Hernandez (Steven Chang), and his cherished grandchildren, Noa, Mari, Jordan, and Theodore, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also lovingly remembered by his partner of 24 years, Cora Montilla, who shared many wonderful years by his side. Willie was previously married to Pattie Hernandez for 27 years, and together they built a family that remained at the center of his life.
A man of deep Catholic faith, Willie found strength, comfort, and purpose in his relationship with God. His faith guided him through life's joys and challenges and served as an example to those around him. He lived with humility, compassion, and a steadfast belief in the importance of family, hard work, and devotion.
Though he will be deeply missed, Willie's legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the values he instilled in them. His kindness, strength, and enduring faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Willie is now at peace in the loving embrace of God.

Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Thursday October 29th, 2026 for visitation from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 30th, 2026 at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 222 Ridley Blvd North York, at 10:30am . Private cremation to follow.
