With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we remember Wanda Margaret Kwiecien, a woman whose light-hearted spirit, gentle humor, and generous heart touched everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
Wanda was known for her warm smile and joyful demeanor. She had a natural curiosity about others and a way of asking thoughtful questions that made you feel truly seen and important. Conversations with Wanda were never rushed; she listened with care, interest, and kindness, always bringing a sense of ease and connection.
She was a devoted and wonderful mother to her two children, Chris and Catharine, whom she loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly throughout their lives. Wanda’s care, guidance, and unconditional love shaped her family in ways that will be felt for generations.
One of Wanda’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. She adored her three grandchildren and poured her heart into creating special memories with them. From vacations and excursions to plays, the circus, dance recitals, and soccer games, she was always present, smiling, and fully engaged. Her love was tender and constant, and she never missed a chance to ask for a goodbye kiss, a small but cherished ritual that will forever be remembered.
Wanda was caring and generous by nature, finding joy in giving to others through thoughtful gifts and quiet acts of kindness. Her compassion extended beyond her family, as she faithfully supported charities close to her heart, including The DAM Youth Drop-In Program and the Hamilton and Burlington SPCA. A lifelong animal lover, Wanda shared her life with many beloved pets from childhood through her final year.
She had a playful side as well, especially when it came to puzzles, which she adored, and her daily cups of tea. Those who knew her well may smile knowing that Tim Hortons may feel her absence, as she was truly an avid tea drinker.
Wanda was a devoted Christian who attended church regularly and remained committed to her Bible study, even in the final months of her life. Her faith was a steady source of comfort and strength. In a moment of profound peace and grace, Wanda passed after hearing her favorite hymn, “Amazing Grace,” playing during her final moments.
She had a timeless sense of style, often dressed in black and white, favoring patterned tops that became a signature look her loved ones will always associate with her. She also loved flowers of all kinds and delighted in receiving them for Mother’s Day and her birthday, moments that brought her great happiness.
Each October, Wanda’s birthday was lovingly celebrated during Thanksgiving, a season of togetherness that will now hold even deeper meaning. She will be profoundly missed during that time and always.
Wanda Margaret Kwiecien leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, faith, and joy. Her presence enriched countless lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
