It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vonnei Lynn McGivern, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 63.

Born on May 29, 1963, Vonnei was the second youngest of four children and the only girl among three brothers, helping shape the fierce and determined woman she became. Despite living for many years with a chronic illness and constant pain, she faced life with incredible strength, resilience, and a sense of humor that never faded.

Vonnei was outspoken, loving, and fiercely loyal. She had a special love for animals, especially horses, found beauty in butterflies, and was always willing to stand up for those who couldn’t stand up for themselves.

Above all, Vonnei's greatest love was her family. She adored her mother, cherished her daughter, and being a Nanny to her four grandchildren was one of her life’s greatest joys.

Vonnei is lovingly survived by her mother, Juliette Paquin and predeceased by her father Mark McGivern; her brothers, Mark (Debbie), Tony (Sue), Sean (Sylvia) McGivern; predeceased by the love of her life Michael Dupont and her daughter, Melissa (Stephen) Dupont; her cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Haylee, Julian, and Darien Dupont; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Vonnei’s fierce spirit, strength, humor, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is gone, her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the lives she touched, and every butterfly that reminds us she is never far away.
