It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Timothy James Pearce on October 3, 2024, at the age of 66 years old. Timothy was born on April, 4, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario to predeceased parents Dorothy and William Pearce. Beloved father of Timothy Pearce Jr, Shasta Pearce, and Donny Pearce (Nikki). He is predeceased by his sisters Linda (Paul), Lila (Mike) and Jerrilyn (John). He is survived by siblings Thomas, Dorothy (Brian), Deborah (Steve), Wendy (Fred) and Terrance (Sheila), and grandchildren Keysean, Sheala, Paeton, and Londyn. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
Timmy, often referred to as Willie, due to his long hippie hair, love of bandanas, and cowboy boots with blue jeans, will forever be remembered for his witty banter, silly antics, and adventurous soul. Tim could often be found out with friends, family, or making new connections as he had a zest for life. He was avid at living life at large and making or joining a party wherever he went. You knew he was near when the smell of patchouli oil was in the air and because you'd hear Tim shout out one of his infamous one liners at you. If you know, you know.
Timmy certainly had a wild side, but he also had a softer side. He was a hard worker, a lover of hockey, and an avid reader. He loved music, dancing, word games, and 90s cartoons. He enjoyed spending time with family, and surprising “the kiddos” with new toys or trinkets he found along his journeys. Putting a smile on their face always brought him joy. Rock On Timmy they would say. Rock on he did. He had his own ways of showing he cared, sometimes with a hug, but most frequently with a silly text, a “crap”, or a nickname. He smoked like a chimney, and vowed he’d never quit because “quitters never win.” Tim will be remembered for his wild hair, his intoxicating laugh and his fervor for life and all its opportunity.
Like any man, Tim had his flaws, but Tim lived his life the best he knew how and left this Earth wishing that his children would find safety in this mixed-up world, and that he had more time to remind those who mattered, just how much he cared about them. While our hearts mourn the loss of our loved one taken too soon, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. We love you Timmy.
Timothy’s remains will be cremated and a service will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Odette Cancer Centre.
If Tears Could Build A Stairway - Author Unknown
If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know
But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store
Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay
