Teodora De Leon Reyes (also known as Doree) passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Born on September 11, 1949, in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines, to her late parents, Lucia and Mateo De Leon, Teodora was a woman who was genuinely warm, caring, outgoing, and completely full of life and laughter. She possessed a sharp, knowledgeable mind and a generous heart, always ready to offer wise advice or a helping hand to anyone who asked. Teodora was a dedicated public servant, providing over 25 years of service to the Ontario Provincial Government as an Information & Customer Liaison Officer in the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations. Her professional career perfectly mirrored her personal character—she was deeply committed to guiding, helping, and connecting with the public every single day. Her life outside of work was profoundly defined by her deep devotion to her Catholic faith and her vibrant, active involvement in her BNP prayer group and various faith-based community events and services. She loved reading and found great joy in sharing her faith, serving for many years with the Marian Apostolate teaching religion to children. A pillar of comfort in the Scarborough community, Teodora spent over twenty years volunteering her time to provide Eucharistic ministry to the sick at Scarborough General Hospital and to those confined to their homes. Her laughter, joy, and unwavering spirit of service will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all who were blessed to know her. She was the loving mother of Karen and Kirk. Cherished grandmother of Kayden and Ember. Dear sister of Isabel, Danilo, Emilie, and Rosemarie. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Lucia, and her father, Mateo. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough) on Friday, October 16th, 2026, from 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Teodora’s life and faith will be held at Precious Blood Catholic Church (1737 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough) on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, at 10:30 AM, followed by the burial back on the cemetery grounds at Pine Hills. Following the burial, a reception to further celebrate Teodora's life will be held at Dragon Pearl Restaurant at 1:45 pm (865 York Mills Rd, North York). In honor of Teodora’s lifelong dedication to helping others, donations may be made in her memory to the Scarborough Health Network Foundation or Precious Blood Parish.
