It is with profound sadness that the family of Leung Li Yuk Hing announces her peaceful passing at her home in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada on December 19, 2025 at the age of 104 years.

Born in 1921 in Panyu, Guangdong, China, on the 27th day of the 11th month of the lunar calendar (or December 25, 1921 by Gregorian/western calendar), she was known as Li Yuk Hing when she married Leung Ping Hung in 1939. She remained in China until 1949 when she emigrated to Guyana (formerly British Guiana) where she and her husband, a businessman, raised a family of seven children in Georgetown. There her legal name became Tengy Ching Leung. She was widowed in 1974 when her devoted husband passed away in China. In 1975, she immigrated to Canada and settled in Scarborough close to her seven children who raised their own families there. Over the span of fifty years, she became cherished “Po”/“Grandma” to 18 grandchildren, and loving “Tai Tai” to 29 great-grandchildren.

Beloved “Ma” to Carole (the late Dr. Alfred Choo), Agnes (Bill Yong), Philip (Jackie, nee Woo), Edward (Marie, nee Sue-Tang), Mary (the late William Anam), Audrey (David Louis), and Esther (Patrick Anam).
