Suresh Chandra Ramcharan, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at his longtime home in Markham, Ontario, with loved ones by his side.

Born on October 23, 1946, in Newtown, Kitty, East Coast Demerara, Guyana, Suresh was the beloved son of Chhablal and Dhanwanty (Saraswatie) Ramcharan.

Suresh attended the prestigious Queen's College in Georgetown, Guyana, where he completed his O Levels and A Levels. He later attended the Minnesota State University at Mankato, where he studied chemistry and taught at the university before pursuing a career as a pharmaceutical chemist.

A devoted Hindu, Suresh found great strength and peace in his faith. He was a longtime member of the Vedic Hindu Cultural Society and regularly attended services at the Vedic Mandir on 14th Avenue. He was known for his calm, gentle nature and quiet strength.

Suresh enjoyed watching cricket, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, and watching the NFL. Above all, he cherished time with his family.
Suresh is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Teresa; his son, Rabindra (Robin); his daughter-in-law, Anna; his cherished grandson, Taj; his brother, Vivek; and his sister, Kamini.

Suresh will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
