Steve was born in Wai Yeung, China on November 12, 1947. He moved to Hong Kong with his family as a young boy. Smart and hardworking, he was top of the class during his school years. Coming to Canada for university in 1968, he studied electrical engineering at U of T, went to medical school, and then a radiology residency. Steve and Jane got married May 29, 1975. One year after marriage he graduated from medical school, he and Jane moved to Montreal for his internship. After his internship, they moved back to Toronto, where he went on to do his Radiology residency at Toronto Western Hospital.

His first job as a Radiologist was at North York Branson Hospital in 1982, and his last job was at Scarborough General from 2002-2015, when he was forced to retire after a stroke. He was a serious, passionate and dedicated person, quietly achieving his goals and interests. He was a good husband, a good father, a good friend, a good doctor – a good man. We are very proud of his achievements in life, and we will missed him dearly.
