It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Steve Prattas, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 30th.
Steve was born on April 3rd 1933 in Greece, the fourth of five brothers, Constantine, Timoleon, Angelis, and John. It was there in the small village town of Skoura that he met the love of his life, his wife Athena (nee Stamatakos). Not long after getting married he crossed the ocean for a better life in Canada. A successful career spent in the restaurant business with his brothers allowed him to retire early and spend time travelling back to Greece.
After enduring a battle with ALS, he is now rejoined with his wife, who passed away in May of 2023. Steve is predeceased by his parents, Zaharias Prattas and Loukritia Prattas (nee Pagonis). He is survived by his beloved children, Loukritia (Elia) Vlahakis and Jack (Angela) Prattas. A proud grandfather of four grandchildren, he leaves behind Dean, Elena, Stylianos and Athena. Steve will be remembered for his generosity, caring and kindness. He will be missed dearly by family and friends in Canada, Greece and the United States.
