On September 20, 2026, Steve Dyer passed away peacefully at the age of 65, leaving behind a legacy beautifully crafted and deeply loved.
A master carpenter by trade, Steve spent his life working with his hands. He took immense pride in his workmanship, seeing the unique potential in raw materials and meeting every structural challenge with meticulous dedication. To Steve, carpentry wasn’t just a career—it was a true art form. His steady hands were always ready to build, fix, or lend help to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by his work family at Clausen Contracting, where his talent and presence left an indelible mark. Yet, as flawless as his physical creations were, the greatest structure he ever built was the beautiful family that surrounded him.
Steve’s love lives on through his sons, Chad (Angela) and Joe; his adored grandchildren, Austin, Skylar, and Trent; and his great-grandson, Watson, who brought profound joy to his later years. He is also survived by his stepfather, Gerard Vickers, and his siblings, Sharon (Ben Leavey), Tammy (Don Ward), Neil (Mary Ann Best), Darren, Andrea (Jeff Bonello), and Brad Vickers (Lauri). He leaves behind a legacy of love shared with his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Steve is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife, Karen; his father, Raymond Dyer; and his mother, Judy Vickers.
Steve firmly believed that a day without laughter was a day wasted. Armed with a quick wit and a brilliant sense of humour, he was a natural storyteller and jokester who brought light and smiles to everyone around him, right until his final moments.
His blueprints are finished, his tools are at rest, but the foundation of love, pride, and laughter he laid will endure forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
