It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Efstathios (Steve) Giftakis.

Steve was the devoted husband of Dimitra, of 18 wonderful years. Together they built a life filled with love, faith, laughter, and cherished memories. Above all else, Steve was an extraordinary father to his three children—Katerina (16), Vasiliki (13), and Vasilis (7) —whom he adored with all his heart. His family was his greatest pride and purpose, and everything he did was for them.
Steve was the cherished son of Katerina and Vasilis, whose love and guidance shaped the remarkable man he became. He was also a beloved brother to Andy and a dear brother-in-law to Joy.

Steve had a passion for cars, especially his beloved BMW convertible, which brought him immense joy. He also loved tinkering with computers and had a remarkable gift for technology. Whether someone needed help troubleshooting a computer, setting up a device, or solving a complex technical problem, Steve was always the first person they called. He was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge and was always willing to help others.

Steve was widely respected throughout the IT/Cybersecurity industry. His reputation for expertise, professionalism, and kindness was second to none. He left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.
One of Steve’s greatest joys was traveling to Greece with his family. He created treasured memories that will live on forever. Whether surrounded by family, enjoying time with friends, or making new memories, Steve found happiness in being with the people he loved most.

In 2022, Steve was diagnosed with colon cancer. Despite his courageous fight, the disease later spread to other parts of his body, becoming metastatic colorectal cancer. He faced his illness with extraordinary courage, determination, and unwavering faith. He fought tirelessly with hope and strength. Though his battle came to an end, we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the loving presence of God.
Steve touched countless lives through his kindness, his dedication to his work, and his willingness to help anyone in need. Although our hearts are broken, Steve's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
