It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Fong Siu Yin, on April 10, 2026, at the age of 104. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Fong Siu Yin was born in Hoiping, Canton, China, on August 18, 1921. She moved to Kowloon, Hong Kong, and later, the family flew to Toronto, in 1967, with her husband and six children, reuniting with her eldest daughter. She built a life centered around family, love, and togetherness.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Oi Lin (Wayne), Lillian (the late Kong Kin), William (Esther), Harry, Cathy (Jack), Joan (Dick), and (the late) Andy, as well as her 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy to her.

As the cherished matriarch of the family, she had a deep love for family gatherings, and was known for her warmth, generosity, and kindness. Her presence was a source of comfort and love.

Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Mom will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
