We are saddened by the passing of our Mother, Baba, Great-Baba Tomma Sersta.
She passed peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026.
She is survived by her children William (Helen), David (Josie), and Susan (Alex); her grandchildren Michelle (Steve), Danielle (Peter), Diana (Lou), James, Thomas (Karina), Michael (Lenna), Natalie (Zach), and Matteo; and her great-grandchildren Justin, Katie, Andreas, Santana, Alex, Pete, Mila, Sofia, Mason, and Lily.

Tomma Sersta came to Canada from Lerin, Greece, in 1951 in search of a better life and greater opportunities.

In 1952, she married her lifelong partner, Dimitri Sersta, and together they built a beautiful life centered on love, hard work, and family. They were devoted parents to their three children, William, David, and Susan, and worked tirelessly to create a stable and nurturing home. As proud owners of the Park Restaurant and Banquet Hall, Tomma and Dimitri took great pride in their family-run business, which reflected their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the community.
When Dimitri passed away at the young age of 52, Tomma was widowed at just 48 years old. Despite this heartbreaking loss, she continued to persevere with remarkable strength and grace, always putting her family first. She was a deeply dedicated mother and grandmother whose love, sacrifice, and resilience shaped the lives of those around her. Tomma’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the values she instilled, and the life she helped create through courage, determination, and unconditional love.

We will hold our memories tightly and be forever grateful we had her in our lives.
