It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sarkis Balian, born March 2, 1944, who passed away on May 29, 2026.

Sarkis was a loving father and grandfather who will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and deep love for his family. He found joy in being close to the water, indulging his sweet tooth, and, above all, spending time with his children and grandchildren, who meant everything to him.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Armenian Church on Tuesday June 2nd, 2026, followed by interment at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Armenian Church or Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.

Sarkis will be deeply missed, and his love, warmth, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
