Rolando Alcarde Dalipe
April 16, 1942 - January 6, 2026
Rolando Alcarde Dalipe, 83, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Rolando is now reunited with his late wife, Lilian Reyes Dalipe. He will be dearly remembered as a beloved father of Leo (Joelle) and June (Ivan); proud Papa to Caitlin (Adam), Mikayla (Philippe), and Aidan; and great-grandfather to Zara and Zoie. Rolando had many siblings who pre-deceased him (he was the youngest) but is survived by his dear sister, Teresita Dalipe Pedrola (Mario).
Rolando was a retiree of Burlington Technologies and enjoyed retired life with his long-time partner and companion Rachel Dela Pena. He will be deeply missed by his many relatives and friends in Hamilton ON, Toronto ON, the United States and the Philippines.
The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Michael Garron Hospital for their dedication and exceptional care - including Dr. Chow, nurse Virginia, social worker Dee, the entire Kidney Clinic team and Dr. Grindal and Dr. Christi from Internal Medicine. As well, heartfelt thanks to every single person we encountered at the Palliative Care Unit - you are angels whose compassion, support and gentle care for our dad was greatly appreciated.
A private family service has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
