It is with sadness that we announce Remus Bureta passed away on May 15th, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his life partner Amy, her daughter Lily, Children: George and Theodora, and Parents: Livia and Traian. He had a profound impact on the lives of those he loved and those who loved him. He will be forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, and selflessness.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 9 AM at Elgin Mills Cemetery in Toronto, Ontario with a memorial service to follow.

For those not in Toronto, a livestream will be available via a zoom link, which will be made available on this website at 9 AM (Toronto Time)/4PM Romanian time on the day of the service.

Cu tristețe anunțăm că Remus Bureta a decedat pe 15 mai 2025, după o luptă curajoasă cu cancerul. Îi vor simți lipsa partenerei sale de viață, Amy, fiicei sale, Lily, copiilor: George și Theodora, și părinților: Livia și Traian. A avut un impact profund asupra vieților celor pe care i-a iubit și celor care l-au iubit. Va fi amintit pentru totdeauna pentru bunătatea, generozitatea și altruismul său.

O slujbă de veci și de pomenire va avea loc joi, 22 mai 2025, la ora 9:00, la Cimitirul Elgin Mills din Toronto, Ontario. Mai multe detalii vor fi postate în curând.
