With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we honour the life of Pota Kalarema Tournas, who passed away on August 5th, 2026. To know Pota was to witness strength wrapped in gentleness, resilience, and humour that could soften even the hardest days. Pota was the matriarch of our family, the steady centre around which generations gathered. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and stories—each one told with her signature wit and expressive smile.

Pota now reunites in heaven with her beloved husband Louis, her three sisters, and her brother. She is survived by her two daughters, her three grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure; and a wide circle of relatives and friends who were blessed to be held close to her heart. Each of us carries a piece of her—her courage, her humour, her unwavering love.

Pota’s legacy is not defined solely by the years she lived, but by the way she lived them: with resilience, generosity, and an unbreakable spirit. Her presence will be missed more than words can express, but her memory will continue to guide us, comfort us, and inspire us.
Her story lives on in all of us.

We are gathering on Wednesday August 12th, at The Simple Alternative in Mississauga. Friends and relatives can attend the visitation from 9:30-11am. The burial will follow on Thursday August 13th at Beechwood Cemetery in Concord.
