On Wednesday, October 21st 2026, Ping Sum Ng passed away peacefully at the age of 80 (Chinese age 八十三).

He will be forever missed by his beloved wife, Cho Shuen Annie Ng, with whom he shared over fifty years of marriage defined by unwavering love, devotion, and deeply cherished memories.

Ping Sum was a loving father to his children, Josephine (Patrick Wu), Angeline (Oliver Chan), and Patrick (Esther Choi).

He was also a proud and adoring grandfather to Julian, Evelyn, Aubrey, Annabelle, and Charlotte.
Ping Sum will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. His memory will continue to live on through all those whose lives he touched.

In memory of Ping Sum, donations to Sunnybrook Hospital or Peter Kwok Yee Hong Hospice would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers. The Visitation will take place at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre (11323 Warden Ave., Richmond Hill (905-737-1720)) on Thursday, October 29th, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. With the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.
