In memory of

Paul Malcolm Down

May 16, 1944 - October 3, 2026

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Malcolm Down on October 3, 2026, after a brief illness. We are grateful for our time with him.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Marianne, who has lost her dear husband and best friend of 55 years.
He will lovingly be remembered by his children Matthew (Cheri) and Annette (Kelly).
Paul was immensely proud of his grandchildren Evelyn, Sara, Cora, Tayler, and Joseph. We take joy in knowing he will be reunited with Ceilidh, Heidi, Brandy, Simba, and Caden.
Paul is survived by his brother Keith, and he was predeceased by his brothers Roy and Ralph.
He loved his time with family and friends, listening to music, sitting on the deck enjoying a glass of wine, and the stirring sound of the pipes.
Paul loved his career as a Marine Underwriter and served as the President of the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters and was awarded an Honorary Member for his contributions to the marine insurance industry.
The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Lakeridge Health Critical Care Unit for their care and support.
Please honour Paul by sharing your favourite drink with those close to you.
Internment at Sunset Mindepark, Puslinch. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Lakeridge Health.
