Patricia (Pat) Kincaid passed away surrounded by love, after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her best friend and “partner-in-crime”, Sandi Hatfield. Fondly remembered by her brother, Walt (Adena) Kincaid, “adopted” brother Clayton (Sonny) Hatfield and her many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents Kelvin (Kel) and Flossie Kincaid and sister Mary-Jane (Henderson).
Pat was born and raised in Madoc, Ontario. She left her small town to join the Toronto Police Service in 1963, where she served for 30 years. Pat was awarded the Governor General’s Police Exemplary Service Medal in 1986. Even in retirement, she remained close friends with many of her former colleagues. Pat loved nothing more than to be on the water, whether on Mephisto Lake, Anstruther Lake, or the canals on Florida’s west coast. She was a strong, loyal and generous friend, who previously enjoyed sharing a “Manhattan”, but still enjoyed a good laugh and a song to the end.
Thank you to Drs. Eric Leung and Helen MacKay and staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences for their continuous care over the past 8 years. A special thank you to the Palliative Care Team: Dr. Luigi Pedretti, Laura, Jaclyn, and our wonderful Lovelyn. Thank you to good friend and former police partner Wayne and his wife Patti, cousins Irvin and Teresa, longtime friends Sandra and Michael, and to our many other friends and family who supported Pat through her battle with cancer, she will be sorely missed.
