It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Patricia Catherine McHugh, our cherished mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother — the matriarch of our family — who left us peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by loving family at the age of 91.
Patricia was the heart of our family — strong, loving, and always ready with a quick remark that could make anyone laugh. Her sense of humour never faded, even during the toughest times, and her strength inspired everyone who knew her.
Family was everything to her. She built a home filled with love and laughter. In her earlier years, she was a wonderful cook and baker, known for creating meals that brought everyone together — not just to eat, but to connect, share stories, and feel cared for.
She will be deeply missed by her children Terence, Debra (Jack), and Kim (Chris); her grandchildren Michelle (Darrell), Denis (Teresa), Robert, Danielle (Greg), Keith, and Alexandra; and her great-grandchildren Mylo, Cruz, and Olivia; and her baby brother, Bernie (Verna) — as well as her numerous nieces and nephews and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was predeceased by her spouse Keith, her parents Fred and Iona, and her siblings Eugene, Audrey, and Doris, whom she loved dearly and is now reunited with.
A visitation and funeral will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at The Simple Alternative – Mississauga, where we’ll gather to share memories and laughter in her honour — just as she would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, please consider doing something kind for someone you love, or sharing a meal with family — that’s how she’d want to be remembered.
Her humour, her strength, and her love will live on in all of us.
