After a courageous battle, Parissis Markos passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 13, 2025.

Born on April 5, 1947, in Kelli, Florina, Greece, he immigrated to Canada in the 1970s, where he met his wife.

Parissis was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Beloved husband of 52 years, he is survived by his wife, Toula, and his five children: Bill (Doris), Mahy (Dimitri), Helen (Chris), Tracy (John), and Christina (Joel), as well as his nine grandchildren: Alexandra, Isabella, Stefano, Katarina, Peter, Paul, Isla, Mai, and Matthias. He shared an unbreakable bond with his “sweetie” (Toula), building a life filled with unconditional love and respect—a love extended to his nine grandchildren, each one a source of his immeasurable joy. He was the first man who ever loved us and the reason we understand what love, loyalty, and family truly mean.

A true jack of all trades, he could fix anything, build anything, and offer help to anyone without hesitation. If someone was in need, he was there with a warm smile and a generous heart. His kindness and loyalty touched not only his family but also countless friends and neighbors who knew they could always depend on him.

He loved deeply and without condition. Family gatherings, long talks, shared laughter, and bringing people together were the moments he cherished most. His devotion to his loved ones was the guiding force of his life, and he gave all of himself completely to ensure those around him felt cared for, safe, and loved.

His loss leaves an emptiness words cannot fully describe, but his love, his lessons, and his example will forever guide us.
