It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Nikolitsa, who left us peacefully on Saturday May 24, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 69.
She was the heart of her family – Her love and devotion will be cherished and remembered always by her husband Prodromos Savaidis; her children, George Savaidis and James Savaidis, her daughter in law’s Andrea Savaidis and Lynn Goodfellow, and her adored grandchildren, Noah, Gabriella and Sophia, who brought her endless joy.
Nikolitsa was a woman of warmth, strength, and quiet grace. A talented and dedicated seamstress, she has a gift for transforming fabric into beauty – whether it was curtains, suits or dresses. She spent over 23 years at M.K Tailoring in Oshawa, where she was admired not only for her exceptional craftsmanship but also for her kindness and integrity. Her work touched many, and her legacy will live on in the lives she helped shape through her artistry and love.
She will also be dearly missed by extended family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 28, 2025, at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) from 4pm – 8pm, with Prayers at 7pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 29, 2025, at Evangelismos Tis Theotokou, Saints Nectarios and Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church (399 Farewell Street, Oshawa) at 12pm. Burial to follow at Thornton Cemetery (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa).
