Peacefully, with her family by her side, Nell entered into rest and was reunited with her beloved husband, James, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Loving mother of Tom (Colleen) and proud grandmother of Ellen and Nathaniel.
Nell enjoyed a close friendship with Kay Cyba for many years before the two discovered they were half-sisters. They treasured both their friendship and the family bond they came to share. Nell and Kay are now reunited once again.
One of Nell's greatest passions was playing the mandolin. She was a dedicated member of the Toronto Mandolin Orchestra for many years and found great joy in sharing her love of music with others. Nell will also be remembered for the devotion and loving care she provided to James during his final months.
Nell will be lovingly remembered by her many family members and friends, including those she cherished at Credit River Retirement Residence.
The family extends heartfelt thanks for the compassion and care provided by the geriatric physicians, Dr. Jabbar, Dr. Perella, and Dr. Medleg, as well as the nursing staff of 3C Seniors Care at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital.
The family also wishes to thank Nell's family physician, Dr. Scott Nguyen, for his dedication to the care and comfort of both Nell and James. Special thanks are also extended to the PSWs and nursing staff on the Assisted Living floor at Credit River Retirement Residence for their kindness and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nell's memory to Trillium Health Partners, specifically supporting Mississauga Hospital.
