No one is ready to believe Nahid is gone.

Her death came suddenly, without warning, and her family is still living through the surreal days of trying to understand her loss while gathering from different cities and countries to celebrate her life and lay her to rest. Her family is grateful for everyone’s love, and support.

Nahid was just as her name suggests, like Venus, carrying warmth and energy wherever she went.

She loved life. She loved to study, to work, to learn, and to be independent. She never allowed status, wealth, or circumstance to stand between her and what she wanted to achieve. She broke barriers through persistence, hard work, and an unwavering belief in herself.

And she knew how to enjoy life. Give her a chance and she would dance, sing, and party.

To her husband of 45 years, Hassan, she was love, care, support, and a lifelong partner. To her two daughters she was a role model and an inspiration. To her son, she was a warm and loving heart. To her four siblings she was a beloved sister whose place cannot be filled. And to her parents, she was a one-of-a-kind daughter they were always proud of.

And to her 4years old grandson, she was his teacher, his strongest and loudest supporter and protector and above all she was his best friend. The house will miss the sound of their giggles together forever.

And to poppy Tyr, she was the loveliest human mom.

Her voice, her laughter, her warmth, her determination, and her love live with us now, deep in our hearts.

n lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Nahid are invited to plant a tree in her memory or make a donation to Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project, supporting youth and families facing mental health and addiction challenges.

For our family, this donation carries forward something that was supposed to happen that weekend. Nahid was supposed to be at the RBC Race for the Kids for her grandson's second year participating in the race, celebrating him at the finish line. While she could not be there, we hope her memory will continue to support other young people and families who need someone there for them.

هیچ‌کس هنوز باور ندارد که ناهید دیگر در میان ما نیست.

مرگ او ناگهانی و بدون هیچ هشداری اتفاق افتاد و خانواده‌اش در روزهای دشوارِ در تلاش برای پذیرفتن این فقدان به سر می‌برند، در حالی که از شهرها و کشورهای مختلف در تلاش‌اند تا دور هم جمع شوند، زندگی او را گرامی بدارند و او را به آرامش بسپارند.

ناهید همان‌گونه بود که نامش تداعی می‌کند، همچون زهره، سرشار از گرما و انرژی.

او عاشق زندگی بود. عاشق درس خواندن، کار کردن، یاد گرفتن و مستقل بودن بود. هرگز اجازه نداد جایگاه، ثروت یا شرایط زندگی میان او و آنچه می‌خواست به دست آورد قرار بگیرد. او با پشتکار، سخت‌کوشی و باور استوار به خودش، مرزها را پشت سر گذاشت.

او بلد بود از زندگی لذت ببرد. کافی بود فرصتی پیدا کند، می‌رقصید، آواز می‌خواند و جشن می‌گرفت.

برای همسرش حسن، پس از ۴۵ سال زندگی مشترک، عشق، همراه، حامی و شریک زندگی بود. برای دخترانش، آزاده و آرزو، الگو و الهام‌بخش بود. برای پسرش، پیمان، قلبی گرم و مهربان بود. برای خواهر و برادرهایش، حمید، هایده، محمد و علی، خواهری عزیز بود که جای خالی‌اش هرگز پر نخواهد شد. و برای پدر و مادرش، دختری بی‌نظیر بود که همیشه به او افتخار می‌کردند.

و برای نوه‌اش، بهترین دوست بود. خانه برای همیشه دلتنگ صدای خنده‌هایه دوتاییشان خواهد بود.

صدایش، خنده‌هایش، گرما، اراده و عشقش، اکنون در قلب ما زنده است.

به جای گل، اگر مایل هستید یاد ناهید را گرامی بدارید، می‌توانید به یاد او درختی بکارید یا به پروژه  بیمارستان سانی بروک کمک کنید.
این پروژه از جوانان و خانواده‌هایی که با چالش‌های سلامت روان و اعتیاد روبه‌رو هستند حمایت می‌کند.

برای خانواده ما، این کمک مالی ادامه دادن چیزی است که قرار بود در آن آخر هفته اتفاق بیفتد. ناهید قرار بود برای دومین سال شرکت نوه اش در مسابقه دو برای جمع کمک مالی برای بجه ها در خط پایان منتظر
نوه اش باشد و موفقیتش را جشن بگیرد. اما او نتوانست آنجا باشد، امیدواریم یاد او همچنان به حمایت از جوانان و خانواده‌های دیگری که به کمک و همراهی نیاز دارند ادامه دهد.

مراسم گرامیداشت زندگی ناهید پس از ساعت ۱:۳۰ در خانه ناهید و حسن برگزار خواهد شد. نشانی خانه به جای انتشار عمومی، به صورت خصوصی با مهمانانی که مایل به شرکت در مراسم هستند در میان گذاشته می‌شود.
