In memory of

Mohammed Kapadia

August 24, 1954 - August 28, 2026

It is with deep sadness that the family of Mohammed (Moe) Altaf Kapadia announce his passing on Friday, August 28, 2026. He passed away with his family by his side at the age of 72.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 46 years, Indra; children Harris and Michelle; siblings Yakoob, Najma, and Fahmida; as well as countless other relatives and friends.

He will also be remembered as a dedicated member of the Mississauga Majors Baseball Association and everyone's favourite boss at Harvey's.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Umar and Sara; and brother Haneef.

Moe immigrated from Pakistan in 1973 and worked hard to support himself and the community he built of friends and family. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, boss, community leader, and a friend to everyone he met. You could always count on him to bring people together, make you laugh, share in good food, and support you with anything you needed. He was a hard worker with a generous spirit that never forgot the importance of charity.

The Janazah (funeral prayer) was performed immediately on Friday, August 28 and he was buried on Saturday, August 29. A memorial is being held on Wednesday, September 2 (The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres, 1535 S Gateway Rd, Mississauga, ON L4W 5G6) to remember his life and share favourite stories.

Memorial donations may be made in Moe’s name to a charity of your choosing to honour his generous legacy.
