In memory of

Michael Harold Tudor

June 1, 1952 - June 10, 2026

To honour and celebrate the life of Michael Harold Tudor, we announce his peaceful passing into everlasting life on June 10, 2026, at the age of 74.
He was born on June 1, 1952 in Barbados to two very proud parents, Pamela Joan Tudor (née Stanford) and Harold St. Clair Tudor, both predeceased. He is survived by his brother, David St. Clair Tudor (Sandra) of Essex, England, and his three nephews, Daniel, Jonathan, and Samuel.
He leaves behind his spouse of 46 wonderful years, Larry James Konyu, as well as his daughters, Jean Elizabeth Carisse (David) and Kathryn Anne Weswaldi (Dean), and two admiring grandsons, Jacob David Carisse and Nicholas Lawrence Carisse.
After completing his primary and secondary education in Barbados, Michael came to Canada to study psychology at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba. He later continued his studies at the University of Toronto, becoming a secondary school teacher with the Toronto District School Board. After 14 years, his passion for teaching and dedication to the profession led him to the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, where he obtained his Master’s degree in Education. Subsequently, he served for the next 20 years as a senior lecturer in the Initial Teacher Education program at the University of Toronto.
In the many intervening years, he inspired others through his wit and skill as a professional speaker on a wide variety of topics, both in Canada and abroad. He published many works that will continue to inspire for years to come.
He had a tremendous capacity to engage others through artful communication and humour, along with an extraordinary ability to remember details and people’s names with ease—qualities that made him someone who will not be forgotten. Let us be thankful for the gift of Michael. May he rest in peace.
Following cremation at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, a celebration of life will take place in August 2026. Date, time, and location are to be announced.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those at St. Michael’s Hospital in Emergency, MSICU, and Cardiac ICU whose care and compassion helped to keep Michael comfortable
