It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Morton on August 28, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born on March 9, 1956, Mike made his home in Scarborough, Ontario. He was a loving and devoted father to his son, Danny, and maintained a friendship with his former wife, Susan after their divorce.

Mike will be fondly remembered by his brothers, Kevin (Shirley Ann), John (Dawn), and Peter (Deborah), as well as his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Gordon, his sister, Marilyn, and his beloved mother, Ann, who passed away in April of this year.

Mike dedicated nearly 30 years to working as a TTC bus driver, a career he valued and took great pride in. He retired in 2016, leaving behind a long record of service.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan and never missed the chance to settle in for football Sundays. Mike also had a great sense of humour and loved making everyone laugh.

Mike will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched.

His memory will live on in the many moments shared and cherished by those who loved him.
