With heavy hearts, the family of Mary Louise Hickie announces her passing on February 7, 2026 at the age of 76.
Mary passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and family. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a cherished grandmother whose warmth and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband Timothy, of over 55 years, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership, laughter, and unwavering love. Together they built a family that was the center of her world. She also leaves behind her children Robert Michael and Jill Louise, and grandchildren Ashleigh Louise and Angela Elizabeth, each deeply loved and forever shaped by her care and compassion.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering to spread her ashes will be held in the Thornton Cemetery gardens in the spring.
Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unconditional love, and the beautiful way she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
