It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Theresa Larracey (Molly), who died suddenly of a heart attack on June 7, 2026, at the age of 83, and her beloved husband, Arthur James Larracey, who passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 86, following a courageous battle with leukemia.
Together for 57 years, Molly and Art shared a remarkable life built on love, devotion, and unwavering partnership.
Molly was born on February 10, 1943, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, bringing compassion and kindness to all those she served.
Art was born on September 19, 1939, in Irishtown, New Brunswick. He devoted more than 40 years to elementary education in the Toronto area, inspiring and guiding generations of students through his patience, wisdom, and dedication to teaching.
Above all, Molly and Art were devoted parents to their children, Corey, Heather (Chris Earp), and Judith. They took immense pride in their family and adored their grandsons, Owen and Wesley, who brought them endless joy.
As a family, they embraced adventure and shared a passion for world travel, creating treasured experiences together across many countries and cultures. Their happiest times were often spent at their beloved cottage on Georgian Bay, where summers were filled with family gatherings, peaceful moments by the water, and lasting memories.
Though they have left this world, Molly and Art leave behind a legacy of love, kindness, dedication, and family that will continue to inspire all who knew them. They will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Mass at St. Vincent's Church, 70 Collingwood St. W, Meaford, Ontario, N4L 1H1 on July 10th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery, 111 Russell Street West, Thornbury, Ontario. There will be a reception in Collingwood
