GARDINER - Marlene Joy Gardiner, 71, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in the presence of her loving family and God.
Marlene was the beloved wife of Rick Gardiner, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.
Marlene's greatest joy was her family, she was the devoted and loving mother to Samantha (Jeremy), Holly (Justin), and Richard (Sandy). She took immense pride in being Granny to Fionna, Thomas, Emily, Bianca, Aliya and Zoe, as well as being a step-Granny to Sydnei and Hudson. All of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Marlene was born May 20, 1955 in Cape Town, South Africa where she lived until her family immigrated to Canada at the age of 14.
She is predeceased by her mother and father (Doreen and Dennis Liedeman), and survived by her brother John (Sherrie).
Marlene was a fitness instructor, entrepreneur, and a survivor. Her fierce but gentle approach to life will continue to inspire her family and friends for years to come. Marlene's kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for those she held close will forever be remembered.

Marlene will be deeply missed, but she leaves behind a legacy of love and a lifetime of memories.

Visitation will be held at 1pm followed by a Funeral service at 2pm.
