Marjorie Freida Jean Mayhew (nee Pratt) was born in Picton, Ontario and made her home first in Peterborough before settling in Oshawa, Ontario. She is fondly remembered by her family as an avid Euchre player, a relentless shopper, an energetic dancer, an eager traveller and a gracious hostess.

Marjorie was a shop assistant at Eatons Department Store often working in the Toy Department, much to her daughters' and later grandchildren's delight, before retiring after more than 30 years to spend more time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters Kathy and her partner Len and Cindy; her son-in-law Jeff; her five grandchildren Shawn and his wife Kellie, Keith, Melanie, Danielle and Dylan and his partner Jim; her two great grandchildren Iris and Ada; and her youngest brother Wayne.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Lawrence (Larry) Mayhew, her mother Bessie Pratt, her father Joseph Pratt, her brothers Bruce, Harry (Keith), Merton, Stephen, Cecil and her sister Kay, as well as her son-in-law Steve and her grandson Todd.

Her family would like to thank the nurses, occupational therapist, doctor and personal support workers of WWMD Homecare and the LHIN for their support and care during the last year of her life.

She will be greatly missed.
