It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Cecilia Escomilha Cupido on March 27, 2026.

Born in Terceira, Azores, Cecilia carried a deep love for her homeland throughout her life. She brought that warmth, culture, and spirit into everything she did, especially in the way she cared for her family and welcomed others into her home.

Cecilia was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Norberto, and a loving mother to her daughters, Christina and Lisa. She was also a caring mother-in-law to Andre and John, who were welcomed into her family with love. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Natasha, Sarah, Ian, Eva, Lukas, Cruz and Chase and a cherished great-grandmother to Isaiah, who brought her immense joy.

Known for her wonderful sense of humor, Cecilia had a special gift for making people laugh. She was the kind of mom who became everyone’s mom—always welcoming, always caring, and always ready with a kind word and a hot cup of coffee. An incredible cook, she expressed her love through her food, bringing family and friends together around her table.

Cecilia will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and her generous heart. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and in the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
