Maria Alice Bulario
March 2, 1940 – August 25, 2025

With hearts full of love and sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Alice Bulario on August 25, 2025, at the age of 85. Maria left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a brave journey with dementia.

Born in Seixio Mira, Portugal, Maria’s life was an incredible journey. In 1965 she moved to France with her husband and six month old son Fernando. They added another son, Victor to their family while living in France and in 1973 she and her husband, Antonio, brought their young family to Canada to begin a new life. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and the traditions of their homeland.

Maria was the devoted wife of the late Antonio, a loving mother to Fernando (Danielle) and Victor, and a proud Avoa to Megan (Chris), Mercedes (Sean), Matthew (Emily), Daniel (Ana), and Jacob. Bisavó to Luka, Kiptyn, Brynley, Niko, Logan, and Xavier.

She carried Portugal in her heart throughout her life, treasuring every trip back home and sharing countless stories of her childhood. Her tales of village life, family, and traditions became a gift passed down to her children and grandchildren, keeping her heritage alive for generations to come.

Maria’s legacy is one of strength, resilience, devotion, and love. She loved to sing and was happiest when surrounded by family. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will live on in all who knew and loved her.
