Lynda Karen Tafarodi (née Peeke-Vout) was born in Victoria, British Columbia on December 14, 1946 to Albert and Kitty Esther Peeke-Vout (née Henton). She spent the first half of her life in Manitoba and British Columbia, where she worked as a psychiatric nurse. She married Mahmoud (Mac) Tafarodi in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 18, 1980. The couple moved to California in 1985. Following Mac's retirement in 2006, they relocated to Arizona and then Etobicoke, Ontario, where Lynda spent the last year-and-a-half of her life. Lynda was a strong, capable, creative, patient, and caring woman who was loved dearly by her husband, family, and close friends. She passed away peacefully at the Lake House Palliative Care Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, Ontario on December 8, 2023 after struggling with Alzheimer’s disease. Lynda leaves behind her devoted husband of 43 years, Mac, her stepsons, Rakhsha and Romin, her stepgrandson, Asha, and her older brother, Barry.
