With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Louis on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born in Kraniona (Drenoveni), Greece, Louis immigrated to Canada in 1960, where he met June and together they built their life and family.

Louis was the beloved husband of June, loving father of Brian (Christine), Phillip (Sonya), and Louis Junior (Carlie), and proud Dedo to Mason, Taylor, Bryn (Logan), Sadie, and Chloe.

He was the son of the late Pando and Kiratsa Damianidis, and dear brother of Bill (the late Sophie) and the late George (the late Carole).

For many years, Louis hosted the annual Damianidis family picnics, a tradition that brought the family together and created lasting memories. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering in the garage.
Louis will be remembered with love by his family, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation to be held at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, on Sunday, October 18, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

For those unable to attend in person, livestreaming of the visitation and funeral service will be available. The livestream link will be posted at the top of this webpage approximately five minutes prior to the start of the service.

A second Visitation will take place on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place immediately following the service.



In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada in Louis’s memory would be appreciated.
