McCART, Lillian Mae

Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Jessie, and her beloved husband of 64 years, John McCart.
Lillian was the devoted mother of Sharon Awde (Charley), Patricia Palladine, and Sally Popil. She was the proud grandmother of Kevin (Nancy), Heather (Colin), Chuck (Angela), Bill (Erin), Ashley (Jim), Matthew, Shannon, and the late John Guirestante. Lillian was also the cherished “GG” to 11 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Daisy (Jimmy), Pat (Dave) and Lynda (Donnie), and her brothers Allan (Shirley) and Robert (Colleen). She was predeceased by sisters Elsie (Jack), Jean (Bill) Jessie (Ross), Violet (Sandy) Mary (Al) Don (Jean), Alex (Sandra), and Jack (Karen) . Lillian will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A long-time employee of Westinghouse, Lillian found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, was an avid bingo player, and spent many happy hours playing euchre with the ladies in her building.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the ER and C-2 Medicine Wards at Credit Valley Hospital for their care.

Cremation will take place as per Lillian’s wishes. To celebrate her life, a visitation and funeral service will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery Crematorium Centre. Please see below for specific times and details.
