It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Kwok Sing Chong, age 88, who passed peacefully on July 14th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Kwok Sing lived an honest life, devoting himself to his family with unparalleled selflessness and a strong sense of duty. He diligently supported his family, while successfully running his own business, yet always found the time to help his friends and loved ones without ever expecting anything in return. Though he was a quiet character, his altruism was impossible to overlook.

Kwok Sing is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ming Chun, who was the love of his life and in all ways possible, his soulmate.

Together, they raised three children who continue his legacy of compassion and strength: 
 
• Erwin (Martha) Chong
• Helen Mah
• Phillip (Racquel) Chong

Kwok Sing was a cherished grandfather, familiarly known as Yeh Yeh/Gong Gong to his eight grandchildren: Alex, Jasmine, Keoni, Megan, Jordan, Katie, Lauren, and Jennifer. He loved watching them grow, and quietly supported them as they progressed through the various stages of life.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre at 160 Beecroft Rd, North York ON on July 21, 2026 from 9:30-10:30am. The funeral service will be from 10:30-11:30am, with details regarding the reception to follow.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the healthcare workers at St. Michael’s Hospital for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kwok Sing to St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation and Diabetes Canada.

Kwok Sing will be remembered for his wisdom, love of mah jong, and dedication to his family. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.
