The Lord opened his loving arms and welcomed his newest angel - our beloved Krystyna Kruk. On August 1st, we watched Krysia take her final breath at home, leaving behind her earthly body that was filled with so much pain and suffering. Our hearts are overwhelmed with sorrow and grief, yet knowing her soul is finally at peace, gives us all the comfort and strength to pray and continue to honor the memory of Krysia.
Krystyna was a true testimony to her unending and powerful faith. Living it daily through prayer, offering herself to God's work, sharing the Word of the Lord in her parish St. Kazimir's. Even with her illness, she was even more active in parish life.
Krystyna was born in Trzebos, Poland. She later settled in Toronto where she raised her beautiful family. She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Krzysztof, her beloved children, Martin, Joanna, Thomas and Natalia, alongside her son's spouses (her added children) Marcela and Rebecca.
Her greatest joy was her role as Babcia - proud grandmother to Leo, Aurora and Willow. She was a most caring of sisters’ to Marysia, Helenka, Władzia, Janina and Genia.
Throughout her courageous 20+ year long battle with the many cancers she faced and fought, Krysia showed an incredible grace, resilience and unwavering spirit of perseverance. Undoubtedly, it was her faith that kept her going, even through the darkest of times.
Where certainly most would have given up, she being a true warrior, never gave up and kept fighting. She never let you down; she was the one who always showed up, was always there for everyone; always considerate and tried to make a person's day special, oftentimes even magical. She will always be memorialized for these attributes of her remarkable character.
For those who knew Krysia, she was one of the most genuine, caring and kindest of people. Full of laughter, endless love and a welcoming home - as big and warm as her heart, always open for everyone; with a delicious meal and an infectious hug. Her presence will always be missed.

I apologize in the delay of offering my sincere thanks to everyone who came; was there either in person or online and all the beautiful words that you shared with my siblings and I about our mother. Your kind words, your prayers and everything else that I forgot to even mention, are all greatly appreciated. As we saw, her beautiful soul touched many of us and I feel like words alone cannot express the gratitude to you all for being there for her one way or another throughout her life and during the funeral.
Thank you to everyone. It is thanks to all of you that we were able to give her such a beautiful farewell. 🩵
Natalia Kruk
