It is with great sadness that the family of Kim Jackson announces her sudden passing on May 26, 2026. Kim will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her husband, Paul Green; her beloved daughter, Natasha; and her sister and best friend, Linda Jackson, and brother-in-law, Gordon along with lifelong friends Penny and Debbie. She was predeceased by her parents, Graham and Maria Jackson, and her Auntie Hilde.
Family was everything to Kim. She was a beloved, fun-loving aunt to Bronwyn (Gabriel), Gordon, and Olivia Marshall (Alex), who saw her as a second mother and felt her support in every part of their lives. She will also be deeply missed by her sister-in-law, Nancy Green; James Robertson; and her niece, Amy Robertson (Nate), with whom she shared many special vacations. Kim will be fondly remembered by family in British Columbia: Dan and Terri Green, Andrea Green (Patrick), Julie and Ian Paine, and Rebecca and Set. Our thoughts are also with family in England, Austria, and Australia.
She will be fondly remembered by the many others she loved, including and not limited to Descia and Howard, Rea, David, Brenda, Sue, Sandy, Denise, Marianne, Stephanie and Emily. Kim was a true friend and a light in the lives of many over the years. She was fun, fashionable, generous and kind.
Kim graduated from the University of Toronto and built an accomplished career in the insurance industry. After early roles at Royal Insurance, she rose into senior strategic work, eventually moving into Business Development, where she helped drive acquisitions and corporate marketing. It was at this time that she started working with Barry Downs who remained a business partner and friend right until her planned retirement the week of her sudden death.
At ING/Intact, Kim became an executive, serving as VP of Personal Lines, Marketing, Integrated Financial Services, developing a reputation as a high impact leader.
After taking time away to focus on motherhood, Kim returned to the industry with her trademark energy, joining Partners Indemnity and quickly rising to General Manager and Partner. She helped shape the firm’s culture, professionalism, and growth. Following its sale to Navacord, she became Executive Vice President of Paisley Partners, where she successfully united two distinct organizations into a strong and growing Toronto brokerage. She found great joy in her team and in all she accomplished during the final chapter of her career. Despite her success, Kim remained modest about her work. She took pride in helping others succeed and mentored many throughout her career. Of all her work achievements, perhaps her greatest was making a career in insurance fun.
Many hearts are broken with the passing of such a vibrant wonderful person. She will live on in our memories of precious times spent together.
A Celebration of Kim's life will be held later in June.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice would be appreciated
